WELCOME

Jay Procter Farms, Inc. began in the mid 1990s when Jay purchased his first New Holland forage harvester. With Shayne beside him, driving their bobtail truck, they began chopping silage one load at a time. Since then, the business has come a long way. With the help of their two kids and several employees, it has grown significantly over the years. Silage crews travel from Garden City, Kansas, to the Mexico border, working with various farmers, dairies, and feedlots. With a fleet of seven John Deere Forage Harvesters, seven John Deere Packing Tractors, and two Ag-Bag Baggers, we are typically on the road from April to November. Regarding facilities, what began as a single-bay machine shop has expanded into a second shop with multiple bays and an office building over the last decade. In addition to our harvesting services, we farm approximately 800 acres of land in and around Erath County and run a small beef cattle operation at our farm just outside Lingleville, Texas.
Jay Procter Farms, Inc. has been a member of U.S. Custom Harvesters, Inc. since 2006. U.S. Custom Harvesters is an association of professional custom harvesters that serves the needs of American farmers. This organization enables us to connect with people from across the country and helps us expand our seasonal harvesting crew!
